The Kingdom’s premiere event dedicated to designing and constructing cost-effective sustainable buildings

INTEGRATING PROFITABLE AND SUSTAINABLE BUILDING AND INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS

2nd Annual Cost-Effective Sustainable Design & Construction Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will highlight the key solutions to the latest challenges in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s sustainable building and infrastructure industry, including the benefits of sustainable design for different projects.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has shifted its focus towards delivering sustainable buildings in order to meet the boom in construction projects. The Green Building Council and the Saudi Arabian government are committed to improving building performance and energy efficiency, both during the design and construction process and throughout the building’s lifecycle. In order to implement standardised codes for the country, the government is collaborating with regional and international experts.

The aim of a green building is to create an energy efficient and environmentally sustainable structure. Compared to traditional buildings, green buildings are energy efficient, conserve natural resources, consume less water, generate less waste and provide healthier internal spaces, whilst reducing the overall carbon footprint. Architects, consultants, contractors and suppliers are searching for innovative ways to remain competitive and ensure that they are the first choice for future projects. The two things at the top of everyone’s agenda are sustainability and cost.
